Meet the Maker

Hi I'm Nikki, the Designer & Creator behind Elysium Design Co. I'm a FIFO wife and a mum of two grown boys. We live with two very loyal Mini Fox Terriers and a canary called Sir Pogo the 3rd.

After nearly 20 years in the sunny Pilbara town of Karratha, in 2015 we moved to the Peel region eventually settling in the seaside community of Secret Harbour in Western Australia.

I have always been "crafty". I was drawing pictures of our horses when I was little, later studying to be a Graphic Designer. After having a very busy toddler that got into everything in the studio, I needed to focus on doing something different and entered the world of health & fitness. I became a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor (basically to keep up with the kid). Instructing Group Fitness is something I still love to do, I like the way it makes me feel, and I love to motivate others to be the best version of themselves.

I started playing with air dry clay for a bit of therapy really. The busyness of the "city life" created some anxiety within me and I found working with clay so very soothing.

My gorgeous products evolved over time and I just love pushing the boundaries of what i can create with clay.

I pinch myself sometimes. I actually get to do what I love every single day, and for that I am so truly blessed and grateful.
